Welcome to Bug Bug!

I’m Lorilin, a stay-at-home mom in Chicago who reads books to stay sane. Even though I spend most of my day looking after my lovely and wild children, I always make time to read—mostly fiction, wellness, and memoir, with a few cookbooks and gardening books thrown in the mix.

I rate all books on a scale of one to five ladybugs, so my favorites will have these little guys floating by the title 🐞🐞🐞🐞🐞.

Autumn colors + succulents? Hm…okay! I’m so proud of the autumn container I made. 😁

Woke up feeling pretty darn happy. Sending those positive vibes out to all the good earth’s creatures. 💚

On how to be a bad dude…. When you’re at your (fifth) new school and a jock comes up to you to complain that you’re sitting on his bench, you kick him in the throat. And when his friend says you’ve made a big mistake and you better meet them after school, you count down the hours with something akin to glee. And when you finally meet Brosef again face to face, you don’t wait until he throws the first punch. You just lean in and BITE A PIECE OUT OF HIS FACE.

Well this was…unexpected. I loved HAPPY AND YOU KNOW IT by @laurahankin ⭐️ A SPECIAL PLACE FOR WOMEN also had me riveted. I love stories about privileged women acting badly, exerting their control in crazy ways, and just generally getting themselves into dramatic and over-the-top situations.
