Welcome to Bug Bug!

I’m Lorilin, a stay-at-home mom in Chicago who reads books to stay sane. Even though I spend most of my day looking after my lovely and wild children, I always make time to read—mostly fiction, wellness, and memoir, with a few cookbooks and gardening books thrown in the mix.

I’m feeling pretty happy with life right now, can’t lie. Sure, I’m about to go insane with my kids still stuck in the house for remote learning as we enter the the one-month countdown to summer. Nineteen days left of school, but who’s counting?

I’m always so grateful for an arc from @netgalley and I usually love Viola Shipman’s books. I can count on her for a light but heartfelt read.

This book catapulted me straight out of a major reading slump. I may be the only person on the planet who hasn’t read THE NEST, but if it’s anywhere near as good as GOOD COMPANY I need to. Man, I loved this book so hard. I always appreciate marriage drama—secrets discovered and wives reinventing themselves, oh it’s all gold. I loved the character development and the exploration here. I thought the ending was perfect—some might see it as depressing, but I thought it was actually so hopeful. Author @cynthiadsweeney just nailed it with GOOD COMPANY, truly. 🤩
