I’m Lorilin, a stay-at-home mom in Chicago who reads books to stay sane. Even though I spend most of my day looking after my lovely and wild children, I always make time to read—mostly fiction, wellness, cookbooks, and lots of books on gardening.

I rate all books on a scale of one to five ladybugs, so my favorites will have these little cuties floating by the title 🐞🐞🐞🐞🐞.

You know when you love a book so much you almost don’t even want to read the sequel? Because how could it possibly be as good? Well, let me tell you that you don’t even need to worry about that with this duo. I loved #thebromancebookclub and I LOVED #undercoverbromance too. Seriously, @lyssakayadams can basically do no wrong at this point. 😍 . You’ll remember Liv and Mack from the first book. (Liv is Thea’s sister, and Mack is Gavin’s buddy.) When Mack accidentally gets Liv fired from her dream job as a chef, Liv couldn’t possibly hate him more. But when Liv discovers something dastardly about her old boss, Mack is the first person to step up and offer to help. Liv reluctantly accepts, but when she starts developing feelings for Mack, will she have the strength to let her guard down and begin to really trust him? . #squee you’re definitely going to want to read this one guys! 🤩 BOOK REVIEW! 🤩 . I finished Minor Dramas & Other Catastrophes in about two days, and I LOVED it. It focuses on two main story lines—one centered on an intense hyper-helicopter mom who accidentally punches a student (!), and the other on a beloved teacher who pushes the envelope a little too far and gets accused of forcing her “Marxist, left-wing propaganda” on her students. 😳 We also get the perspective of some of the students as events unfold. . Seriously, this book is everything I wanted to to be. Fast-paced, unpredictable, serious but still funny, and HOPEFUL. Honestly, I loved the way this book ended—especially the way it portrayed students as capable, intelligent, and big hearted. .
