Welcome to Bug Bug!

I’m Lorilin, a stay-at-home mom in Chicago who reads books to stay sane. Even though I spend most of my day looking after my lovely and wild children, I always make time to read—mostly fiction, wellness, and memoir, with a few cookbooks and gardening books thrown in the mix.

I rate all books on a scale of one to five ladybugs, so my favorites will have these little guys floating by the title 🐞🐞🐞🐞🐞.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy reading!

THAT TIME WHEN YOU ACTUALLY WIN A @goodreads GIVEAWAY FOR THE BOOK YOU HAVE BEEN PINING FOR, AND @macmillanusa @celadonbooks ACTUALLY COMES THROUGH AND SENDS IT TO YOU IN RECORD TIME. I think I was put on this planet just so I could live this moment. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
THAT SUMMER doesn’t come out until 5/11/21, but I keep thinking about the book, so here we are. I enjoyed the story in and of itself—interesting characters and engaging plot. But the book is also such a smart, thoughtful, and balanced commentary on sexual assault.
Couldn’t be a more gorgeous day. Played with the kids, worked in the yard. Now I’m memorizing plant names with the doors open and the game on in the background. Perfect Sunday. Happy spring and happy Easter if you celebrate! 🐥
