Welcome to Bug Bug!

I’m Lorilin, a stay-at-home mom in Chicago who reads books to stay sane. Even though I spend most of my day looking after my lovely and wild children, I always make time to read—mostly fiction, wellness, and memoir, with a few cookbooks and gardening books thrown in the mix.

I rate all books on a scale of one to five ladybugs, so my favorites will have these little guys floating by the title 🐞🐞🐞🐞🐞.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy reading!

Currently watching my daughter play her first organized sport in a year. Wow, you know? I’m freezing...but I sure missed this.
Holy smokes, here’s one for the top of your #TBR. I read THE GOOD SISTER in like three hours. Didn’t talk to my husband all night, because wow. What a fantastic story. It’s about two twin sisters: Fern, who is a little quirky and different, and Rose, who is uber-responsible and ends up having to clean up Fern’s messes. The chapters alternate between Fern’s current life and Rose’s diary about their childhood. It’s clear from the start that the girls have been through a lot—but they don’t always agree on the details. So whose perspective can you really trust? This one kept me guessing until the end. It’s getting all the stars from me! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Sometimes the cloudy days in spring are my favorite.
