Are We There Yet?

Welcome to Bug Bug!

I’m Lorilin, a stay-at-home mom in Chicago who reads books to stay sane. Even though I spend most of my day looking after my lovely and wild children, I always make time to read—mostly fiction, wellness, and memoir, with a few cookbooks and gardening books thrown in the mix.

I rate all books on a scale of one to five ladybugs, so my favorites will have these little guys floating by the title 🐞🐞🐞🐞🐞.

Why yes, I am living in a construction zone. It will all be worth it in the end, but for now: 😣

If you could stop global warming by giving up your seven favorite foods, would you do it? For me that would mean giving up dark chocolate, coffee, tea, sourdough bread, strawberries, butter, and maybe eggs. I’d like to think I could do it, but that would be a hard ask…

The HUMAN + NATURE art exhibit at @mortonarb is 💯 It was so hot when my kids and I went, and I accidentally sent us down the wrong path…for like a mile. My daughter was literally screaming at me, “It’s not worth it, Mom. It’s not worth it!” 😂 But we eventually found everything we wanted to find. The sculptures were even more stunning than I expected. Definitely worth the drive.
