Music Monday: Imogen Heap

My six-year old was singing this song again today. It makes me laugh, because Hide and Seek by Imogen Heap will always make me think of barely-of-age adults boning in Hulu’s Normal People. And, of course, it reminds me of this SNL short, but ignore that for now. Either way, not exactly kid-appropriate.

But what a fantastic series. I loved reading Normal People. It’s millennial angst at its finest, truly. I wasn’t so sure about the casting for the Hulu series at first, though. Like, really? Paul Mescal as Connell? Daisy Edgar-Jones as Marianne? (Yes, I’m opinionated about my book characters.) But then—then!—I watched on and fell in love. Edgar-Jones is pitch perfect as Marianne, and Mescal is basically a sweet little Irish Adonis. Yes, please.

I kind of hate this video, not gonna lie. But I’m seeing this…

And I’m feeling this…

#swoon

Anyway, it’s a good series. Definitely worth a watch if you have Hulu.
