August Recap!

Oh, how I’ve missed my books. August was pretty dismal as far as “number of books read” goes. I only read two, and technically I read Things You Save in a Fire ages ago. But this is what selling a house (finally!!!!!), supervising a house remodel (with all three kids in tow), moving houses, and sending the kids off to start school does to a person. During most of the month of August, I felt like a chicken with its head cut off. But now things are calming down. And I just feel so, so grateful that it’s all fallen into place. Life has been bananas—and is still a little bit bananas, honestly—but things are finally simmering down.

Right now I’m just looking forward to reading more, checking back in to some of my favorite bookish blogs, and hopefully doing some fun buddy reads and blog tours. The books are calling to me!!! Yes, my lovelies, I’ve returned.

In parting, I’d like to end with a random video of all my houseplants gathered during the move. Some may say I have a problem, but I say I have a green thumb and a big heart.
