The wonderful Mishenko over at Read Rant Rock & Roll nominated me for the Unique Blogger Award. Thank you, Mishenko!!!
THE RULES
- Share the link to the blogger who has nominated you.
- Answer the questions they asked.
- Nominate 8 – 13 people for the same award.
- Ask them three new questions.
THE QUESTIONS
If you were to write a nonfiction book, what would be your subject of choice?
Memoir! Because I’m a narcissist. 😉
Name a book that you didn’t like, either from this year or last.
There have been quite a few books that I didn’t like this year that so many other people loved! (I have accumulated a lot of “unhelpful” votes on Amazon lately…) Off the top of my head: Perennials, Flood, Standard Deviation, Confessions of a Domestic Failure, and The Best of Adam Sharp. I’m sorry, but… suck city, y’all.
Which author would you enjoy meeting the most?
I would love to meet Elizabeth Strout. Oh God, she’s my favorite. Honestly, swoon.
MY NOMINEES
There are so many truly wonderful and unique bloggers out there! Some of my faves:
MY QUESTIONS
- What is your earliest book-related memory?
- How do you get out of a reading slump?
- Approximately how many books do you think you own?
So there ya go! Thanks, again, for nominating me, Mishenko!
And for the bloggers I’ve nominated, please don’t feel any obligation to participate. Just know that I love your blogs! 😃
Congrats on your award! Memoir might be easier to write because we know ourselves more than anything else haha.. Good luck with writing if you are going to 🙂 Thanks for nominating me 🙂

Congrats on a much deserved nomination.!!
I am ashamed to say that I’d never heard off ANY of the books you didn’t like.
Obviously the UK/USA have many books published simultaneously, but some never cross the pond (in either direction) which is why I love reading your blog to get the heads up on what is on the shelf in America. This is the ideal opportunity to say how much I enjoy what you write, your pithy reviews, your humour, your clear insights into what is being published, and the wide variety of books you cover. Keep up the good work!!!! Best wishes.

Wow, thank you so much for the kind words! I really appreciate that. I always feel a teensy bit bad posting negative reviews… I’d hate to turn someone off a book they might actually enjoy just because I hated it, eek! But what can you do? Anyway, thanks for reading my reviews and considering my recommendations. Hopefully you’re reading something great right now. 🙂
